Florida MENTOR was first established in Miami in 1997 in response to the growing need for community-based options to serve individuals with developmental disabilities.  The orgainization also operate effective therapeutic foster care programs for children with severe emotional disorders and children with complex medical needs. 

 

In recent years, Florida MENTOR has expanded it's services to offer specilized group home settings and added a school based academy specializing in therapeutic day treatment programs for ESE students.
